The Chinese market has experienced tremendous growth for the past three decades leaving great potential for Danish fashion companies. However, in order to design, sell and market your products in China it is important to first have a fundamental understanding of the targeted market and its consumers. The seminar ’Designing for Asia’ provides your company with insight into just how to design for a complex consumer market as China.
Guest speakers at the seminar will be:
CEO Nicole Chen, NC.Style, on Marketing and Branding
Nicole Chen spent her educational years in Japan where she first graduated from Eibisu Fashion Academy majoring in fashion design and styling in 1997, followed by an MA in Art Design. In 2000, in order to pursue her passion for fashion, she continued to broaden her knowledge by specialising in fashion design and art in the UK.
With a unique understanding of the Chinese market and its development, Nicole Chen set up her own company and founded NC.STYLE in 2003. By successfully establishing the first recognised fashion focused Marketing, PR and Brand Management Company, Nicole Chen effectively implemented advantageous marketing strategies, thereby, making her reputation and knowledge sought after by not only experts in the industry, but also well-known international brands, celebrities and global media.
Fashion Designer Ruiyue Liu, on Customization. Riuyue Liu, currently residing in London, has a degree in Fashion Design from one of China’s most distinguished universities, Tsinghua University. During Copenhagen Fashion Week 2011 he worked with Kopenhagen Fur, and the critics described his designs as; “a meeting between east and west, by mixing masculine and feminine references in a flamboyant collection that has roots in the 1960s British ‘Peacock Revolution’.
With his knowledge of both the European and the Asian market Ruiyue Liu is an ideal candidate to talk about the expectations and needs of the Chinese consumers.
You will also meet with Innovation and Commercial officers from the Danish Trade Council in China and learn more about how the Trade Council can assist you on the Chinese market in the best possible way.
