A Sound Solution for the future
ECTUNES ApS is founded by experts in acoustics sound engineering and electric vehicle technology, and represents a vision to make the next generation of vehicles safer and more fun to drive. The company is based in Copenhagen and in the Vitus Bering Innovation Park at Horsens and is backed by the Danish investment fund Energi Horsens Fonden.
ECTUNES designs and manufacture innovative external warning sound systems, which can be integrated in electric and hybrid vehicles such as cars, motorcycles, scooters and electric driven trucks. Hereby ECTUNES offers warning sound systems for the aftermarket and customized hardware and software solutions to vehicle manufacturers.
During the initial cooperation, the Innovation Centre Denmark in Munich has contacted several German pilot projects as well as companies in order to evaluate their focus and interest in external warning sound systems in Germany. ICDK in Munich initiated contact to a key player within the federal government´s e-mobility projects with focus on sound and a letter of intent was provided. As a follow up, ECTUNES attended last years´ “E-mobility Innovation Days” where they got to know the Southern German E-mobility landscape and got the possibility to network additionally.
Currently ICDK in Munich has just conducted a mapping of relevant German airports with focus on research- and demonstration projects within E-mobility. Especially of airports external warning sound systems on EVs should be of relevance and three meeting where arranged. As an outcome two letter of intents for joint test projects were signed and will now be discussed internally at the respective airports. Moreover meetings with the R&D department of leading German suppliers of OEM were arranged in order to discuss potential cooperation regarding a joint product adaption.
