Join us at Nordic Energy Research Conference December 7th in Seoul

28.11.2017  10:16

The Nordic countries have successfully introduced large amounts of renewable energy in the energy systems, resulting in a decoupling of CO2 emissions from GDP growth. This is a core achievement when pursuing a carbon-neutral scenario. At the same time the Nordic countries are connected in power grid making it possible to import and export energy from neighbouring countries like the Baltic states Germany and UK.

On December 7th 2017, the Embassies of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden in Korea are coming together to host the Nordic Energy Research Conference in Seoul highlighting Nordic energy research with the aim of reaching out to ministries, research institutions, universities and companies in South Korea.

The conference is aiming to share ideas on sustainable energy systems, present real-life experiences of Nordic and Korean solutions for renewable energy as well as increase awareness of the Nordic countries as collaboration partners for Korea in the field of energy research and innovation.

Topics for the Nordic Energy Research Conference are sustainable energy systems, energy policy in South Korea, and new solutions for renewable energy, with presentation from leading Nordic experts and their South Korean counterparts. This conference is an opportunity to exchange views on the South Korean government's and the Nordic countries’ energy policies, and a platform to establish and strengthen Nordic-Korean collaboration.
