The Danish Minister of Environment and Food, H.E. Esben Lunde Larsen, visited the KAIST campus in Seoul Thursday 9th March, to give a special lecture on circular economy. The Minister’s key messages were that we as consumers and citizens, but also our countries as societies of the world, should transform into a circular economy. Defined as an economy where we recirculate materials and products designed for reuse, repair, recyclability, as well as sharing and buying access to services instead of owning products, the Minister said that if we do things right, a circular economy can deliver key environmental benefits, and at the same time strengthen our businesses and create new jobs. Following the lecture was a 20-minute Q&A session with the audience composed of nearly 80 students, professors, and personnel at KAIST.
