Tech Ambassador Casper Klynge visits South Korea

H.E. Tech Ambassador Casper Klynge visited Seoul on the 13th and 14th October 2017, while accompanying Danish Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen on his official visit to South Korea. During his visit Mr Klynge was accompanied by the Danish Innovation Centre in Seoul. The visit included various meetings with central Korean players within the field of technology. Furthermore, the visit was a chance for Mr Klynge to introduce different Korean parties to his role as the world’s first Tech Ambassador and TechPlomacy in general.

During the visit Mr Klynge visited SK Telecom’s Techlab and participated in the Internet of Things (IoT) Week Korea 2017. At the conference he was introduced to various IoT companies’ services and products as IoT is regarded crucial for the business development and economic growth since it is a core technology for Industry 4.0.

In addition, his visit included a meeting at Samsung Electronics’ headquarters, where he met with Mr Byunghoon Suh, Senior Vice-President for Global Communication Group and acting President, to discuss TechPlomacy and the possibilities for further cooperation with Samsung Electronics. The focus was also to give Mr Klynge an insight in the South Korean perspective and initiatives regarding Industry 4.0.

The visit was concluded with a joint meeting between Anders Samuelsen and Korean Foreign Minister Mr Kang, where Mr Klynge also participated in order to discuss the strategic partnership between Denmark and South Korea, especially focussing on green growth, TechPlomacy and Industry 4.0.
