Denmark and Korea has previously collaborated in the field of agriculture. After the Korean War, several Agricultural students went to Denmark for training. Now Innovation Centre in Seoul is targeting agriculture again and adding Smart Farming. During the visit of the Danish minister for Environment and Food, a veterinary roundtable was held with participation of Danish and Korean authorities, and Seoul National University, University of Copenhagen and DTU. As part of the roundtable discussion, a MoU on veterinary research collaboration between Seoul National University (SNU) and Copenhagen University (KU), was signed.
In addition to the roundtable, a signing of another MoU is scheduled for the 24th of March in Copenhagen, as part of the strategic partnership between Danish SEGES and the Korean Agency of Education, Promotion and Information Service in Food, Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishery (EPIC). SEGES Is a company which is affiliated with the organization of Agriculture and Food.
By targeting both authorities, universities and companies ICDK is now moving ahead into this new area with still more collaborations between Korea and Denmark to be established.
